How Talosha and the Order of Talosha collect, use, protect, and share your personal data — and the choices you have.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets forth the manner in which Talosha and its educational platform, the Order of Talosha (collectively, "Talosha," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, processes, uses, stores, and safeguards personal data submitted by users, members, and customers ("you" or "your") in connection with your access to and use of our website, digital products, membership programs, community platforms, educational content, merchandise, and all associated services (collectively, the "Services").
Ownership. The Order of Talosha, its website, programs, and all associated Services are owned and operated by Talosha.
By accessing or using any part of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree with any provisions contained herein, you must discontinue your use of the Services immediately.
Who is responsible for your data. Talosha is the controller of the personal data described in this Policy. Where this Policy refers to the Services, it covers taloshaorder.com and any site, page, email, or platform operated by Talosha that links to this Policy.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. Where a specific program, promotion, or service has its own terms, those terms apply in addition to this Policy.

1.7 Affiliate and Partner Data
If you join our affiliate or partner program, we also process your referral links and codes, the referrals and sales attributed to you, commission and payout records, and your payout country. Payout onboarding, identity verification, and tax forms (such as a W-9 for United States affiliates) are collected directly by Stripe through Stripe Connect; we receive only the account reference and verification status.
1.8 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from our payment processor, from community platforms you join through us, from the affiliate whose link you used to reach us, and from analytics providers. We combine it with the information described above only for the purposes set out in Section 2.
1.9 Beliefs and Other Sensitive Information
We do not ask for information about your health, religion, or beliefs. Questions you submit and content you share may, by their nature, reveal spiritual or philosophical beliefs. Such information is processed only to provide the service you requested, on the basis of your explicit choice to submit it. Please do not include information you do not wish us to hold.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process personal data only for lawful purposes directly related to the operation, delivery, and improvement of our Services. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Process and fulfill transactions, including purchases, subscriptions, memberships, and one-click upsell authorizations
- Create and manage your account and membership profile within the Order of Talosha
- Deliver purchased Services, including course materials, program access, community membership, and rank-gated content unlocks
- Communicate account updates, purchase confirmations, program notifications, and essential service-related information
- Send promotional content, newsletters, special offers, and marketing communications, where you have consented to receive such communications
- Administer and enforce membership tiers, rank progression structures, promotional credits, and program eligibility
- Facilitate merchandise fulfillment and shipping (where applicable)
- Monitor and improve the performance, functionality, and user experience of our website and digital platforms
- Conduct internal analytics, business reporting, and audience research
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and resolve any disputes
- Record your learning progress, determine when content unlocks, and resume lectures where you left off
- Present time-limited offers based on your progress and the stage you have reached
- Attribute referrals to affiliates and calculate and pay commissions
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, payment abuse, misuse of promotions or credits, and security incidents
- Operate member-to-member features such as Talosha Connect, including handling reports and enforcing community standards
2.1 Offers Based on Your Progress
Some offers and messages are selected automatically from your activity — for example, completing a program may open a time-limited offer, and allowing an offer window to close may change which offer appears next. These decisions concern marketing and pricing presentation only; they do not produce legal effects about you and do not affect access you have already purchased. You may object to this processing by contacting us (Section 21).
2.2 Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions)
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on:
- Contract — to create your account, take payment, and deliver what you purchased
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Services, prevent fraud, measure and improve our platform, and market our own programs to existing members, balanced against your rights
- Consent — for marketing emails where required, non-essential cookies, and content you choose to submit that may reveal beliefs; you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing
- Legal obligation — for tax, accounting, and regulatory record-keeping
3. Payment Processing, Fees, and Taxes
All payment transactions conducted through our Services are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. Talosha does not directly store raw card numbers or full payment credentials on its own servers.
By entering your payment details to complete any initial purchase on our platform, you expressly authorize Talosha and the Order of Talosha to:
- Securely store your payment method via our payment processor for future use;
- Apply stored payment credentials to future authorized transactions, including one-click upsell purchases you initiate by clicking the relevant acceptance button;
- Process charges in the amounts clearly displayed at the time of each transaction.
Processing Fee. Each transaction processed through our platform is subject to a payment processing fee equal to three percent (3%) of the transaction value. This fee is non-negotiable, applies to all purchases including subscriptions, installment payments, one-click upsells, and merchandise orders, and will be disclosed to you and included in the total amount due at checkout prior to your confirmation.
Taxes. All prices displayed are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for all sales, use, value-added (VAT), goods and services (GST), and any other taxes, duties, or governmental levies applicable to your purchase, based on your billing location and the requirements of the relevant jurisdiction. Where Talosha is required to collect such taxes, the applicable amount will be calculated and added to your total at checkout and reflected in the final amount charged. Displayed prices and applicable tax amounts may vary depending on your location and changes in applicable law.
Total Amount Charged. The total amount charged to your payment method for any transaction will reflect the base price of the product or service, plus the 3% processing fee, plus any applicable taxes, all as itemized and disclosed at the time of purchase. By completing a purchase, you authorize Talosha to charge this full total to your selected payment method.
You acknowledge and agree that all upsell transactions completed through one-click purchase functionality are final and non-refundable, in accordance with our Non-Refundable Charges policy set forth in Section 7 of this Policy.
Billing address. Your billing address is used to calculate tax and may be updated at checkout or through your billing portal. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
6. Communication Consent and Marketing
By registering for an account, enrolling in a membership program, or completing a purchase through our Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from Talosha, including but not limited to:
- Transactional emails, including purchase confirmations, account notices, and program updates
- Promotional communications, including newsletters, exclusive offers, new program announcements, and marketing messages
- Community and membership notifications related to your active enrollment within the Order of Talosha
You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly. Please note that withdrawal of marketing consent does not affect the delivery of transactional or service-critical communications necessary for the administration of your account.
Some emails are sent automatically when you reach a point in your journey — for example, after you finish a lecture program or when an offer window closes. Each of our email series can be unsubscribed from independently, and unsubscribing from one does not remove you from the others unless you ask us to.
7. Non-Refundable Charges Policy
All payments processed through our Services, including but not limited to membership subscriptions, one-time program purchases, upsell transactions, merchandise orders, and purchases made using promotional credits, are final and non-refundable, unless an explicit written exception is stated at the time of purchase or by Talosha in writing.
This non-refundable policy applies to, without limitation:
- Initial membership enrollment fees and recurring subscription charges
- One-click upsell purchases completed during or after the checkout process
- Rank-gated program access purchased prior to achieving qualifying rank
- Digital product downloads, course materials, and program content
- Promotional credit redemptions and credit-assisted purchases
By completing any purchase on our platform, you acknowledge and agree to this non-refundable charges policy. If you have questions prior to purchase, you are encouraged to contact our support team for clarification before completing your transaction.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in this Policy limits any right you have under the consumer protection law of your place of residence that cannot be waived by contract. Where you are entitled to a withdrawal period for digital content, you agree that access begins immediately on purchase and acknowledge that any such right ends once access has begun, to the extent the law permits.
Disputed charges. If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first (Section 21) so we can investigate. Filing a payment dispute or chargeback for a charge you authorized may lead to suspension of the associated access while the dispute is open.
8. Promotional Credits Policy
From time to time, Talosha may issue promotional credits to users in connection with specific campaigns, referral programs, loyalty initiatives, or other promotional activities. All promotional credits are subject to the specific rules and limitations set forth in the applicable Terms and Conditions governing the relevant promotion.
Users acknowledge and agree that:
- Promotional credits hold no monetary value and are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash
- Credits may be subject to expiration dates and usage restrictions as specified at the time of issuance
- Credits cannot be applied to offset non-refundable charges or reverse completed transactions
- The issuance of credits does not alter or supersede the non-refundability of any purchase made using those credits
- Talosha reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any promotional credit program at any time with reasonable notice
We keep a record of credit balances and of when credits were granted, used, or expired, and use it to administer the program and to detect misuse.
9. Installment and Deferred Payment Plans
Certain programs, memberships, or products offered by Talosha and the Order of Talosha may be made available for purchase through an installment or deferred-payment plan (a "Payment Plan"). A Payment Plan is offered solely as a method of paying the full, fixed purchase price of a designated program or product over a defined period through a series of scheduled recurring charges. This Section applies exclusively to purchases made through such Payment Plans and does not apply to standard recurring subscription memberships.
Where a Payment Plan is offered with a free trial, promotional trial, or introductory-access period, you expressly acknowledge and agree that upon expiration of the trial period your enrollment will automatically convert into the paid Payment Plan, and your stored payment method will be charged in accordance with the installment schedule disclosed at enrollment, without any further action required on your part. Your failure to cancel prior to the conclusion of the trial period constitutes your affirmative authorization to proceed with the Payment Plan and to be bound by the full-balance obligation set forth below.
By electing to purchase through a Payment Plan, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- The recurring charges under a Payment Plan represent installments toward a single, fixed total purchase price disclosed to you at the time of enrollment, and do not constitute independent, cancellable periodic subscription fees;
- Your enrollment in a Payment Plan creates a binding obligation to pay the full purchase price in its entirety, and this obligation survives your cancellation, non-use, or discontinued participation in the associated program or product;
- Cancellation of the underlying membership, program access, or subscription does not cancel, reduce, or extinguish your obligation to complete all remaining installment payments under the Payment Plan, and all scheduled charges will continue to be applied to your stored payment method until the total purchase price has been paid in full;
- You expressly authorize Talosha and the Order of Talosha, in accordance with Section 3, to apply each scheduled installment charge to your stored payment method on the agreed schedule until the full balance is satisfied, without requiring further action or authorization from you for each individual charge;
- In the event any scheduled installment payment fails, is declined, or is reversed, the full outstanding balance may, at Talosha's discretion, become immediately due and payable, and Talosha reserves the right to suspend or revoke access to the associated program or product until the account is brought current;
- All installment payments are final and non-refundable in accordance with the Non-Refundable Charges policy set forth in Section 7, and no refund, credit, or reduction of the remaining balance shall be issued on the basis of cancellation, non-use, or failure to complete the associated program.
Talosha reserves the right to determine eligibility for Payment Plans, to set the terms, duration, and installment amounts of any Payment Plan, and to modify or discontinue the availability of Payment Plans at any time, subject to any terms expressly agreed with you at the time of enrollment.
Card verification. Where a trial begins with a small verification charge to confirm and save your card, that amount is credited against your first installment and is shown at checkout. If a scheduled charge fails, we may retry it on the schedule disclosed to you before access is suspended.
10. Rank-Gated Program Access
The Order of Talosha operates a structured, rank-based progression system through which certain educational programs, content tiers, and community features are accessible exclusively upon a member's achievement of the qualifying rank designated for that content or program.
By enrolling in any membership tier or educational program within the Order of Talosha, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- Rank-locked content is not immediately accessible upon enrollment and will become available only upon advancement through the designated ranking structure
- The timeline for achieving any specific rank is contingent upon your individual engagement, participation, and progression within the Order's framework
- No refund, credit, or compensation shall be issued on the basis that rank-gated content has not yet been unlocked at any given point during your membership
- Talosha and the Order of Talosha reserve the right to modify rank thresholds, progression criteria, and program availability at any time, subject to reasonable notice provided to active members
To administer progression fairly, we measure the time you actually spend watching each lecture; skipping ahead does not count toward completion.
12. International Data Transfers
Talosha operates from the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country.
Where the law of your country requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy framework to which our provider is certified. You may request information about the safeguards that apply to your data by contacting us.
13. Data Security
Talosha implements industry-standard technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include, but are not limited to, encryption of data in transit via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, access controls and authentication protocols, and secure data storage practices.
While we are committed to maintaining the highest practicable level of security, no system, network, or transmission of data over the internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot warrant or guarantee the absolute security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Our safeguards also include: restricting payment and personal records so they can be read only by our servers and authorized administrators; verifying that payment notifications genuinely originate from our payment processor before acting on them; keeping secret keys in a dedicated secrets store rather than in site code; and resolving your identity on our servers rather than trusting identifiers sent from your browser. You help protect your account by keeping your password confidential and telling us promptly about any suspected unauthorized use.
14. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, to maintain your account and membership, to comply with our legal and contractual obligations, and to resolve disputes. When personal data is no longer required for these purposes, we will securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law.
Transaction records and financial data may be retained for extended periods as required by applicable tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
As a guide: account, progress, and membership data are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so that access can be restored or disputes resolved; marketing preferences are kept for as long as needed to honor them, including a record that you unsubscribed; Talosha Connect profiles are removed from view when you unpublish them and deleted on request; reports about member conduct are kept as long as needed to protect the community. Deleted data may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
15. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal data. These may include the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided in Section 21. You may also use our privacy request form. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law.
Please note that certain rights may be limited where we have a legitimate legal basis to retain or process your data, including for the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate business interests.
Where applicable law grants them, your rights also include the right to:
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format
- Restrict or object to our processing, including processing for direct marketing and the progress-based offers described in Section 2.1
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
How we handle requests. To protect your account, we verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by confirming it from the email address on your account. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows; we may ask for proof of their authority. We respond within the period required by law — generally within 30 days, or 45 days where US state law applies — and will tell you if we need longer. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
16. United States Privacy Rights
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have the following additional rights, subject to the exceptions in those laws:
- To know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients
- To delete and to correct personal information
- To opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising
- To limit the use of sensitive personal information
- To appeal our decision on your request, by replying to our response
How to opt out or make a request. Use Do Not Sell or Share My Info in the site footer, or the privacy request form, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information or to exercise any other right in this Policy. An opt-out also switches off marketing cookies in your browser immediately.
We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of the Meta Pixel may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you may opt out through our cookie settings or with a Global Privacy Control signal. The categories of personal information we collect, and their sources and purposes, are described in Sections 1, 2, and 11. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
17. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended only for adults aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it and close the associated account.
18. Third-Party Sites and Platforms
The Services may link to, or let you join, websites and platforms operated by others — including our payment processor's checkout and billing pages and external community platforms. Their collection and use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, not this Policy, and we encourage you to review them.
19. Respect for Spiritual and Belief Diversity
Talosha is committed to honoring the full diversity of spiritual traditions, personal beliefs, and philosophical perspectives represented within our community. All educational materials, programs, and content offered through the Order of Talosha and associated platforms are intended exclusively for educational, personal development, and spiritual exploration purposes.
Nothing contained within our Services is intended to discriminate against, demean, or disparage any individual's faith, belief system, cultural background, or spiritual practice. We welcome all seekers, regardless of their prior experience or existing belief framework, and we are committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment for all members.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Talosha reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our business practices, legal requirements, or the Services we provide. Any material changes to this Policy will be communicated by posting the updated version on our website with a revised Effective Date. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of significant changes.
Your continued access to or use of our Services following the posting of any updated Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of and agreement to the revised terms. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed of how we are protecting your information.
